Course Description
The Physical Assessment for Basic Recruit Academy 2026-55 will be on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 0630 hours promptly, at the Academy. Registered prospective recruits will report to NILEA located at 4500 Montdale Drive, Valparaiso, IN 46383. A short training on the specific testing protocol will precede the assessment after which they will proceed to Wheeler High School ( 587 W 300 N Valparaiso, IN 46385) for the assessment.
Those successfully passing the entry Physical Assessment will report for Basic Recruit training classes commencing on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 0800 hours.

Course Materials
Prospective recruits will report wearing conservative athletic apparel, including running shoes, socks, athletic shorts, pants, and sweatshirt.
