Description: If your community contains railroad tracks, your agency could be involved in a specialized highway-rail grade crossing collision investigation. Operation Lifesaver's Grade Crossing Collision Investigation (GCCI) course is designed to inform and prepare your department for that eventuality. Our GCCI training was developed for the North American law enforcement community with cooperation from the International Association of Chiefs of Police. This course will help you clearly understand the specific legal responsibilities of railroads, motorists, and pedestrians on or around railroad tracks. This class is intended for all agencies from law enforcement, fire departments, Emergency Management Agency and any other agencies that would be involved or assisting in some manner involving a railroad related incident. Instruction would provide attendees with key safety information, in addition to how to obtain additional resources, tools and safety sensitive information if a railroad related incident were to occur in their jurisdiction.

Indiana Operation Lifesaver is a certified training provider by the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. Indiana Officers will receive 16 Hours of in-service training credit.
