Course Description
This Physical Assessment will assess basic recruit candidates to the minimum entry standards of the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. Vertical Jump: 13.5 inches,1 Minute sit-up: 24, Push-ups: 21 ,300 Meter Run: 82 seconds, 1.5 mile Run: 18 minutes 56 seconds. The Physical Assessment for Recruit Academy 23-49 will be on January 2, 2023 at 0630 hours promptly at the Academy. Registered prospective recruits will report to the Academy located at 705 East 4th Street, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Prospective recruits will park in the lowest level of the parking lot on the east end of the City of Hobart Police, Court and Community Building, and enter the building on the west side at the NILEA door and proceed upstairs to the top floor. A short training on the specific testing protocol will precede the assessment. Prospective recruits will report wearing conservative athletic apparel, including running shoes, socks, athletic shorts, pants, and sweatshirt.
