Course Description

This is a free training opportunity open only to NILEA membership.  This 1-day seminar will be held in the Hobart Police Department training room and will be limited to 5 officers per agency. 

 The training taught in this course can be easily applied by all police officers in any department or agency. A common misconception is “Well we don’t have this type of thing in our area,” which is untrue. We have seen our past students in some of the smallest towns intercept some of the largest amounts of contraband that was believed to not exist. It’s everywhere and in every town. If you get the training to be able to see it.you will find it. This is hands down some of the best training currently available in NJ. Everything the student will learn is 100% Legal and employed daily throughout the state and country. Gilmore is an entertaining and informative instructor that provides extremely useful information delivered in an easily comprehensive manner. This course was designed to give the student the ability to identify vehicles commonly used in interstate currency and narcotic transport. These indicators are derived from personal experience and the experience of our network of police officers who are having success with intercepting significant seizures throughout the United States. You will learn what kind of vehicles and tactics are being used. You do not need to learn hidden compartments for this training to be effective. However, as an added bonus you will receive a comprehensive understanding of very easy ways to spot those vehicles that have been modified to conceal contraband. Everyone is focusing on A and not even realizing B is passing right in front of our faces every day. At a very minimum the exposure to this training will make you a much more effective police officer. Get yourself to the next level of policing!

Instructor Information:

This course has been created and is instructed by Detective Brad Gilmore. Gilmore began his career as a patrol officer in a Bergen County municipal police department and able to very quickly pick up the ability to become extremely proficient at intercepting large amounts of contraband on the roadways in his small NJ municipality. Gilmore grew his reputation as a small town cop making several large seizures to include vehicles with aftermarket hidden compartments. Gilmore himself has over 400 hours of hidden compartment training alone! He also has invested thousands hours of studying the subjects that he has become deemed an expert in and he wants to share his knowledge with you. Gilmore was quickly recognized for his exceptional skills and abilities and is now employed as a Detective in a NJ County Agency currently assigned to the narcotics investigations division that focuses on the interception of large quantities of contraband on NJ roadways. In the last 4 years Gilmore has been responsible for the seizure of over 1 Million dollars in
US Currency and several dozen Kilograms of illegal Narcotics. Gilmore is also the Vice President of the NJ Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association and is quickly becoming known as one of the best police training instructors we have ever seen in the law enforcement community.
