This Physical Assesement will assess basic recruit candidates to the minumum entry standards of the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board (LETB).
Vertical Jump: 13.5 inches
1-Minute Sit-up : 24
Push-ups: 21
300 meter run: 82 seconds
1.5 mile run: 18 minutes 56 seconds
The physical assessement for Basic Recruit Academy will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 0630 promptly at the Academy. Registered prospective recruits will report to NILEA at 705 E 4th Street. Hobart, IN 46342. Prospective recruits will park in the lowest level parking lot on the east end of the City of Hobart Courts and Community Building, and enter the building on the west side at the NILEA door and proceed upstairs to the top floor. A short training on the specific testing protocol will precede the assessment. Prospective recruit will report wearing conservative athletic apparel, including running shoes, socks, athletic shorts, pants and sweatshirt.
