This physical assessment will assess basic recruit candidates to the minimum entry standards of the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board (LETB).

1.5-mile run : 18 minutes 56 seconds
The physical assessment for Basic Recruit Academy 24-52 will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 0630 promptly at the Academy. Registered prospective recruits will report to NILEA at 705 E 4th Street, Hobart, IN 46342. Prospective recruits will park in the lowest level parking lot on the east end of the City of Hobart Courts and Community building, enter the building on the west side at the NILEA door, and proceed upstairs to the top floor. A short training on the specific testing protocol will precede the assessment. Prospective recruits will report wearing conservative athletic apparel, including running shoes, socks, athletic shorts, pants, and sweatshirts.
