THIS COURSE IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR CERTIFIED LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MILITARY.
IDENTIFICATION WILL BE CHECKED AT THE CLASS AND ONLY CREDENTIALED OFFICERS WILL BE GRANTED ADMITTANCE.
THIS COURSE IS DAY 4 OF A 4-DAY LESS LETHAL INSTRUCTOR COURSE.
Students have the option of taking each module individually, or registering for all four modules for a discounted price of $895.00. Upon completion of the course and successfully passing the final exam, the student is authorized to provide in-service training to their agency in specific areas for 36 calendar months from the testing date.
Each of the four class modules focuses on a different subject and includes a half-day of lecture-based studies followed by a half-day in the field for deployment drills. Unique to this class - the state-of-the-art deployment tactics come direct from the manufacturer of the products used.
Day 4 - Distraction Device Munitions Instructor Program
- Distraction Device types and nomenclature/reloadable and non-reloadable devices/Command Initiated
- Decibels/candela/PSI/overpressure
- Handling/storage/rendering safe
- Tactical deployment/safety considerations/policy and procedures
- Criminal and civil liabilities Live-firing exercises/operational scenarios Instructor development to establish in-house/in-service training and documentation skills
Course Materials
Each attendee must be in good physical condition and able to perform the practical exercises associated with tactical applications with the use of these products. The Safariland Training Group trains only sworn law-enforcement officers, correctional personnel, state-licensed security personnel (OC only) or active military personnel.
Required Equipment:
- Eye and ear protection
- Body armor is required for LLIMs, CHEM and DD programs
- Duty gear normally utilized when deploying less lethal products
- Flame-resistant gloves
- Gas mask
- 37mm / 40mm Gas Launcher
